"'Most Wonderful Time of the Year': Religious Holidays in December" Webcast

Christmas gets much of the attention of course but many cultures and religious traditions celebrate during the last month of the Gregorian calendar. In fact, much of what we associate with Christmas comes from interfaith borrowing over the centuries.

In this webinar Derek A. Michaud '99, lecturer in philosophy and coordinator of the Religious Studies and Judaic Studies academic minors, will guide us through some of the representative beliefs and practices of these holidays.

These midwinter celebrations will provide an excellent window into many of the world's dominant religious traditions. Along the way, we'll see how Bodhi Day (Buddhism), Hannukah (Judaism), Yule (Christian and Neopagan), and others to help make December "the most wonderful time of year." Learn more in the latest edition of the Alumni Association's webinar series, beginning at 5:00 p.m. (Eastern) Wednesday, December 16th.
